The EU
Member States are currently governed by the Transfrontier Shipment of
Waste (EEC) 1013/2006 Regulations.
This
set of Regulations covers virtually all types of waste shipped between
countries that have ratified the Basel Convention.
Wastes that pose the lowest threat to humans and the environment are designated
as Green-listed waste, which have the least controls.
Wastes posing a medium threat to humans and the environment are those
that contain noxious chemicals or poisons, which fall onto the Amber waste
list and are subject to a much more stringent set of procedures - Notification,
prior authorisation, guarantees and insurances, tracking and auditing.

Service for more details.
