For amber-listed waste it is necessary to guarantee to the relevant government Competent Authorities that the waste will be properly recycled or if not, that it will be either returned to source or recycled at an alternative facility. To achieve this, we lodge a financial bond with the Competent Authorities guaranteeing payment for repatriation or alternative processing and underpin this with a contract - which we call an ENVIRONMENTAL CONTRACT - between the Generator, ourselves, and the Recycler, specifically worded under the terms of the Basel Convention, in which the generator or originator agrees to accept the waste back in the event of it not being correctly recycled. These Environmental Contracts are carefully checked by the Competent Authorities and if not correct by their standards, will be rejected. The shipment cannot take place until the Environmental Contracts are approved.
To establish the commercial basis of recycling your spent catalyst, we enter into a separate commercially-confidential written contract between you and ourselves that describes the waste, the quantity, its analysis and hazards, the packing requirements, the procedures for sampling and analysis, the price/charge and other relevant detail. We try to ensure that there are no hidden costs or unwelcome surprises, which which is why we have developed our Fair Trade policies. TERMS & CONDITIONS. |
