Valuable metals are able to be easily recovered from spent catalysts and can be resold at good prices back to catalyst manufacturers or other producers. Aluminum, nickel and zinc in particular have held good prices on the London Metal Exchange recently, which helps to make the recycling of spent catalysts more economical. If the cost of recycling is outweighed by the recovery value of the metal contained then we are able to pay you for your catalyst to be recycled. Not only is it more economical to recover metals and re-use them, but it is also beneficial to the environment to use recovered metals in the production of new products as opposed to virgin metals since the extraction and refining of virgin metals uses around four times more energy than recovering metal. By partaking in this recycling, you are helping to conserve energy and avoid valuable metals from being landfilled, thus conserving their global stocks.
The cost of recycling includes all the costs of logistics
– fees, labels, financial guarantees, insurances, monitoring &
certification, transport, road, rail, shipping, customs and forwarding,
processing, sampling, analysis, pyrometallurgical & hydrometallurgical
extraction, refining, blending, process controlling, fumes & effluent
capture and control, research & development, accreditation & monitoring,
auditing, plus customer care – keeping our customers advised of
all progress until its final total recycling and to give peace of mind.
